数学是逻辑思维的演绎推理，艺术则似乎更强调灵化状态下的偶得，是直觉，跃迁，混沌式的，两者是否可以融合，如何融合？

2015年7月25日ART DATA LAB将展出艺术家朱晓光的Series系列作品“5 you and”，由6件印画，一个投影，9件激光刻制的模型组成，这也是她的作品首次在北京展出。

朱晓光的作品专注于数学多项函数历史的研究探索，使用数学公式及代码编程，创作抽象模拟影像作品，并尝试在数学符号不断计算的过程中，寻求数学可视化与感官之间的关系。

她认为数学带给人们的感受是新奇的，它是感官转移，还是真实存在？或在景物中和电影院中迷失的感觉？其实每一个个体都有他们之间的逻辑，即数学和感官存在一定的关联，在“5 you and”视频中：

x=(equation A ) * sin[ 1/tan( time )］

y=(equation B ) * tan( time )

它表示Tangent函数在两种表象空间中，呈现出的不一样的夸张动态，在接近时间和坐标时，观众所感受的到能量和速度时而迷失，时而又找了回来。

朱晓光

出生于中国宁夏银川，现工作生活于纽约。2012年毕业于纽约⼤学TISCH学院（数学视觉研究）， 本科就读于加拿大新斯科舍艺术与设计大学。

ABOUT EXHIBITION

The movement of mathematics is new. Can we feel mathematics? Is it a synesthetic experience or is it something just truthfully connect beyond our senses in the same sense of getting lost in a landscape or a cinema.

“5 you and” consists of 6 prints ( 23 x 35 in) in sequence on the wall, one projection ( 5’8 x 1.3 feet), floating next to the prints, 9 woodblocks across the prints shows the sequence of another coordinate space.

x=(equation A ) * sin[ 1/tan( time ) ]

y=(equation B ) * tan( time )

The mathematics of “5 you and” is about the drastic motion of a tangent curve moving in two coordinate systems (Cartesian and Polar). Its power and speed when it closes to certain area of time/space as if it gets confused, struggled and escaped, then came back.
