这次的“物之哀”群展将和上次群展遥相呼应:在上个展览“静水声”中,我们强调的是心灵的最高自由,这是一种崇高的理智趣味,它排斥最原始的感性冲动和通过官能刺激传递的快感,而在“物之哀”中,我们将把崇高从心中剖离,转而强调世俗情感,通过对自然人性的理解,以渐悟的方式从最内在层面认识到苦谛。

This group exhibition called “Sadness of object” will with the last echo each other at a distance: In the last group exhibition called “Quiet of water”,what we stressed is the the supreme freedom of the mind ,it’s a lofty rational interest,it excluded the most primitive perceptual impulse and the pleasure of passing through a functional stimulus,but in “Sadness of object”,we will bring the sublime from the heart,and to turn to stress the secular emotion, through understanding of natural human nature, to know the truth of suffering from the inner level in a gradual manner.

“物之哀”直接取自日本文学家本居宣长( もとおりのりなが,1730—1801)提出的美学概念“物哀”,这里的“物”不同于中国传统的物之所指,传统所指是器物或纯然的自然之物,这里的物主要是指事物,而且以人情世故为主,因而知“物之哀”可分为两方面,一是感知“物之心”,二是感知“事之心”,所谓“物之心”主要是指人心对客观外物(如四季自然景物)的感受,所谓“事之心”主要是指通达人际与人情,两者合起来就是“物心人情”。

The “Sadness of object” is from the aesthetic concept of Japanese writers named Motoori Norinaga(もとおりのりなが,1730—1801)proposed "mononoaware", this "thing" is different from that of the traditional Chinese, the traditional means of a utensils or natural objects, the object here are the main points of things, and mainly of worldly wisdom,so know the “mononoaware” can be pided into two aspects,the one is that apperceive “The heart of objects”,the oher one is to apperceive “The heart of things”,the “The heart of objects” is refer to the feeling of the subject to the objective things(such as natural scenery and so on),and the “The heart of things” is refer to be understanding and considerate, to put the two together is called “Mononoaware and sensibilities”.

本居宣长在《紫文要领》和《石上私淑言》等著作中一再强调“物哀”与“知物哀”就是知人性、重人情、可人心、解人意,这似与佛家所提倡的“无念,无我,无漏,无为”正好相背。因而人们通常认为出家人的铁石心肠是不知物哀的表现,他们为了追寻佛道而舍弃一切世俗情感,见到花开而不言美丽,事实上是受到了宗教教条的“剧场幻象”的迷惑,其实,佛心最知“物哀”,因众生为现世恩爱所累而不能摆脱生死轮回,佛心以为可悲,于是就要人成为不知现世“物哀”的人,实则是因深知“物哀”之故,因此,佛心的“知物哀”与凡夫的理解不可相提并论,佛之道让人不知物哀,但毕竟根植于深知物哀。

Motoori Norinaga has repeatedly stressed in 《Zi’s Programme》and《The word of ShiShangSiShu》 that "mononoaware" and "Know mononoaware" is that perception of human nature、heavy human、take pity on everyone’s heart and agreeable, This is like againsting the initiative "no mind, no I, no leakage, no do" by Buddhism. So people usually think of the monk is not "Know mononoaware", they abandon all emotions in order to pursue secular Buddhism, to see the flowers and not to say beautiful, in fact, it is a bewitch from the "theater illusion" of religious dogma. In fact,the heart of Buddha is the most clear for "Know mononoaware", the reason that all life loving tired and could not get rid of the cycle of life and death according Buddha to think it sorrow,then is to let people become a person do not to know" mononoaware " , it is because that Buddha knows the “mononoaware ” very well,so, The Buddha " Know mononoaware " and ordinary understanding can not be put on a par with, Buddhism let people not to know “mononoaware ”,but it roots in knowing the “mononoaware ” very well.

两次展览的侧重点各有不同,然却殊途同归——“静水声”在直观和纯粹理性层面上告知观众什么样的感受是受意志规定而自由的,什么样的感受是被外物决定而被动执行的,这种方式类似于说教和讲大道理,而这次的“物之哀”则是在让观众在世俗人情中去感物兴叹,深刻体会入世的美妙与哀伤、幸福与烦恼之并存,并从这矛盾中自发感知“物哀”之理,从而认识到“诸漏皆苦”;前者是通过正确的示范来引导人,后者则是叫人去犯错,去亲身实践然后获得真知,两次展览分别以两种不同的方式,目的都是将观众拉到一个清澈澄明的彼岸,一个以自由为名的对心灵的救赎。

The focus of the two exhibitions are different, but all roads lead to Rome——The “Quiet of water” told in the intuitive and purely rational what kind of feelings is set by the will and free,and what kind of feeling is set by foreign objects and to passive implementation, this way is like to do the preaching and say big truth,this exhibition called “Sadness of object” let people to be moved by what one sees,to get a profound experience of the beauty and sadness, happiness and trouble of the world,and to apperceive “mononoaware ” from the contradiction,and to know a truth for “All feelings are painful”; the former is to guide people through the correct demonstration, the latter is called the human to make mistakes, to practice and learn, two exhibitions respectively in two different ways, the objective is pull the audience to the other side of a clear clarity, a soul redemption in the name of freedom.
