«给我一分钟»项目始于2009年，欢岛在北京工作生活及游历各国的十多年间拍摄了大量的个体肖像 ‹家人、朋友、超模、艺术家、 明星、陌生人、摄影师本人以及自己的宠物等›，用强闪光捕捉私密、出神、游离的瞬间。将私摄影美学风格及个体体验带入到时尚摄影的领域是她一直以来关注及创作的核心。

对欢岛来说，在拍摄的过程中与被摄者互换一分钟的孤独是她创作的共情方式，截止2021年，她拍摄的80-00后青年面孔已经超过百位，呈现出中国年轻一代后波普风格时代肖像的语境。

"Give Me 1 Minute" is Joy Island's on-going project that started since 2009. In more than a decade that she has worked and lived in Beijing and travelled around the world, she photographed a considerate number of different individuals ‹family members, friends, supermodels, artists, celebrities, strangers, herself, and even her pets› . She uses strong flashlight to capture the private, absent-minded, and on-trance moments. Her 'personal photography' aesthetics and individual experience that applied in fashion photography has become her long-term core of art practice and signature.


For Joy Island, an exchange of a minute of loneliness in the process of shooting is her method of empathise. Until 2021, she has shot more than 100 individuals between the post-80s and post-00s generations, presenting a context of collective portraits for the Chinese youth in the post-pop art era.
