胡志伟(b.1983)生于山东。2006 年毕业于山东大学艺术学院，文学学士。2009 年参加法国图尔城堡美术馆 60-70-80 中国当代艺术展，分别在 2010 年于北京洋 红画廊举办“WE ARE HERE”，2013 年于北京环球金融中心 BLUSTA COFFEE ，2015 年广州大剧院三玄社 ARTE PLACE ，2019年于上海白厢画廊举办四次个展。现居北京。
胡志伟认为艺术的创作通常来源于人，但人不可能穷尽所有问题的答案。因此便 借鉴数学上的递归算法，把问题转化为规模缩小了的同类问题的子问题，以小见 大，触类旁通。作品中的每一只动物所代表着“社会食物链”循环结构中的一个 点，这些不同的点所传达的情绪或者观念只能由观众的不同阅历仁者见仁。创作者，作品，观者以及观后的经验组成了一种精神上的链状循环，这种精神循环又 呼应着社会循环，这在当下社会有着极大的意义。该系列作品被 LG 集团，大连佰融集团，亿利集团，艺术基金及重要私人收藏。
Zhiwei Hu (b.1983) was born in Shandong, China. Currently he lives and works in Beijing. He got a bachelor's degree from Fine Arts School of Shandong University in 2006.
Hu is imaginative and passionate. He has a philosophical approach to art, which has been constantly noticed and appreciated by art circles. He participated in the “60-70-80 Chinese Contemporary Art Exhibition” at the Tour Castle Museum in France, 2009. And he also had three personal exhibitions:
“WE ARE HERE” at Yang Hong Artspace & Gallery in Beijing, 2010. BLUSTA COFFEE at Beijing World Financial Center, 2013.
ARTE PLACE (Sanxuanshe) at Guangzhou Grand Theatre, 2015.
Zhiwei Hu believes that inspiration usually comes from people, but
people can't know the answer to all of the questions. Therefore, we use the recursive algorithm in mathematics to turn the problem into sub-problems which are familiar and similar in order to make the scale down. Through “smaller”, one can see “bigger” and use this analogy to get the truth. Every animal in the artwork is one point in the loop structure and this structure reflects the "social food chain". The emotions or concepts conveyed by these different points can only be interpreted by different audience. The artist, artworks, observer and post-viewing experience constitute a spiritual chain cycle in which the spiritual cycle echoes the social cycle, which has a great significance in the contemporary society.
His series of works are collected by LG Group, Barong Group, Elion Group, private art funds and a number of prominent individuals.
