皈依系列的创作基本上以庄重的红黑色为基调，与时下日本侘寂美学相呼应。主题是围绕着传统的佛教经典形象，画面中的主形象均为双手合十的虔诚之态，身后则有圆光普照。
皈依系列除了形象选自传统佛教，同时背景上也与书法字体相结合，常为传达福祈的梵文。
在这一系列中，抽象化的神明形象，以及庄严肃穆大的气氛烘托。
